Ben was baptized! What a sweet boy. It's hard to believe he's already eight. His baptism day was one to be remembered! Our church starts at 1pm and we get home about 4:15 ish. We were due back at the church at 6pm for the baptism. It was a short window of time to get everyone fed and back to the church, no problem. Well during sacrament meeting, David was taking a little potty break with little Nate, only to find out the bathrooms were closed due to major plumbing issues. Yikes, usually no cause for alarm however, after further investigation it was determined the font would be unavailable. David was insistent I "check out" the font. "No thanks Honey, I get the idea!" The remainder of the meeting was spent calling around to other buildings to find an alternate location. It was a really hot day and we even considered the beach, but eventually settled on a nearby building. It was fairly chaotic but members of the ward were so kind and went out of their way to help. Ben was unaffected by the shuffle of events. That just goes to show his easy going personality. He was really sweet and super proud of his big day. "This is the best day of my life" were his exact words. I hope he can remember the feelings he had on his baptism day. One thing that touched me was the talk or treasure box Kat had prepared for Ben. She was so tender as she shared her testimony with her brother, a golden moment for a mother! I hope he remembers his own special feelings he had that day. It was a day not to be forgotten!!!

Notice the roasting technique.

Let's go Fly a Kite! We decided to take FHE to the great outdoors. It was a huge success. We had a weenie roast and even toasted marshmallows. Fun was had by all!

Okay, can you say long day?

Spring Break

It's Spring Break!!! Yeah!!! It is so nice to be lazy. We have been sleeping in and enjoying our carefree days in Carlsbad. We have been spending time at the beach and looking forward to summer. I think we only have about 7 more weeks of school, but who's really keeping track! The kids are enjoying their friends and each other which has been so unusual, ha ha.
